Let customers pick a service that sets the lead's cost centre
Cost Centres turns Simpro cost centres into a Service choice on the form. The customer picks "Hot water repairs", the lead lands in your Plumbing cost centre. Without this page, every lead uses the Default Cost Centre from Properties.
Before you start
- Cost centre options need a Lead form subscription. Without one the page is read only and the form shows no service choice.
- The form's Properties must be saved with a company and default cost centre.
Step by step
- Open your form from Forms. If it opens in Form UI, switch to Config. Then open Settings, then Cost Centres.
- Pick a cost centre from Add new Cost centre and click Add cost centre. Repeat for each one you want to offer.
- In Service label on form, type what the customer should see. Leave it blank and the form shows the Simpro cost centre name.
- Drag the rows into the order they should appear in the list.
- Switch a row off to hide it from the form without losing its label.
- Turn on Required field? if every customer must pick one.
- Click Save.
The heading above the choice on the form defaults to "Service". Change it under Styles, then Headings and labels, then Cost Centre: Title.

When it goes wrong
The service choice doesn't show on the form
Either no row is switched on, or the account has no Lead form subscription. Both leave the form without the choice, and every lead uses the default cost centre.
Customers skip it
Turn on Required field?. If it stays off, the list can be cleared and the lead falls back to the default cost centre.
The subscription ended and the choice disappeared
The cost centre options are a subscribed feature. They come off the form the next time it is saved without a subscription, and leads go to the default cost centre from then on.
