Connecting Simpro with Formpiece

Creating a connection with Simpro and Formpiece applies for all of our Simpro integrations. 

You can create one or multiple connections to use for Formpiece.

There are two ways to create a Simpro connection.

  1. Use the Simpro API Key.
  2. Use your Simpro login.

While both methods work, you need to be aware that if you use your Simpro login (method 2), your Formpiece connection may disconnect if your login changes.

If you don’t have access to your Simpro system settings, you can use your login to connect to Simpro.

Method 1: Simpro API Key

  • On the left menu, navigate to Integration Credentials.
  • On the Integration Credentials page, click on Create Integration Credential on the top right hand corner.
  • Select Simpro as your integration.
  • Select Advanced as the Integration Mode.

Creating an API Application in Simpro

  • You will need to get your Simpro API Key credentials from. Go to System Setup, API > Applications.
  • Within the Simpro API Applications page, click on Create Application
  • Fill in the following details in the Simpro Application page.
    • Company: Formpiece
    • Name: Formpiece integration (or choose a name that will be familiar to the office – it will be displayed on logs)
    • Select API Key for the Authentication Method.
    • Click Save

  • Once you get your Simpro API Key, go back to the Formpiece dashboard and fill in the following details.
    • Name: (any name)
    • Simpro Build URL: https://(yourname).simprosuite.com or https://(yourname).simprocloud.com
    • Simpro API Access Token: (this is the Access Token in your Simpro API application)
  • Click Save
  • Once you have saved your Simpro integration, click on Test Simpro credentials to confirm your connection.

Method 2: Simpro login

  • On the left menu, navigate to Integration Credentials.
  • On the Integration Credentials page, click on Create Integration Credential on the top right hand corner.
  • Select Simpro as your integration.
  • Select Simple as the Integration Mode.
  • Fill in your Simpro build URL, select the correct Simpro domain and then click Log in to Simpro.
  • Follow the prompts to log in to your Simpro build with your Simpro login.
  • Authorise Icon One – Formpiece.
  • Click Save
  • Once you have saved your Simpro integration, click on Test Simpro credentials to confirm your connection.
  • If your Simpro connection stops working you can click Login to Simpro to refresh tokens to reset the connection.
